Million Dollar Teacher Project

Paired with Prism

Million Dollar Teacher Project is working to help schools boost retention and recruitment of teachers. Our work revolves around impacting the key factors that are causing educators to leave the profession: compensation, support and appreciation. Our long term goal is to build the capacity to pay teachers a million dollars for their work but, until we reach that level, our immediate focus is to make teachers feel like a million dollars.

What new functionality we are looking for

I am looking for assistance in two ways:

1. I would like to overhaul my website and add new function. I would like to be able to post regular updates to the site, include an intro video where I explain MDTP, make it easier for individuals to donate and have an area that functions with our social media pages.

2. The other area is we have a concept for an app that we would like to develop. The app will allow teachers to upload their lessons and lesson plans to make it easier for teachers to share information with each other.

How the new functionality will help

1. Help us improve our website will help us increase our web presence overall. A website is a key information tool for you to build followers and share your mission with others. This is really the fastest medium to reach large amounts of people. So, having a strong website is essential to our continued growth.

2. The app we are developing will act as the for profit business model that will support our nonprofit endeavors.

How our organization will use the technology

1. The website will be our main tool for communicating with the public. We are currently running a social media campaign called #apples4teachers #teacherthankyounotes and updating the website will allow us to house videos that are submitted to our website and increase our ability to direct traffic to our website.

2. The app we would like to develop would be used to connect teachers nationwide and provide opportunities for us to run competitions between schools.

Who will use the technology

MDTP will use this new functionality to generate revenue and boost public awareness of our program.

as we know online presence these days mean everything! not just how a site looks but how it functions. I feel that MDTP would benefit from your services to help put their best foot forward to online customers and supporters. Making it easy for supports to learn more about the program or stay informed, being able to properly receive feed back or donations. Thank you

As a current educator in the Phoenix Valley for over 7 years, I have witnessed (and continue to witness) dozens of educators leaving the profession due to the lack of compensation, support and appreciation. Futhermore, I have witnessed teachers leave in the middle of the school year, unfortunately, which has led to short-term/long-term substitutes picking up the puzzle pieces in order to further educate our children. MDTP's is making it a primary goal to attack these variables, so that teachers can remain teachers. In order for MDRP to reach the masses, an online medium is extremely necessary and important. Your help in assisting MDTP with a website will help them connect and communicate with educators, as well as with the general public, about resources that can help our teachers remain within the classrooms! Nothing more; nothing less. Thank you.

I think this is a great idea. I know at school we did a query with teachers and a lot of them would like to meet up with other teachers periodically. Teachers need the support of each other as well as the public since they teacher our youth. This is great for teachers everywhere to get involved.

The Million Dollar Teacher Project is the tool we need to retain exemplary teachers in the classroom. Naturally, there is an expectation of Million Dollar Teachers to be the best in their fields; therefore, a cutting edge website that reflects those expectations is equally necessary. Afterall, having a strong web presence is more than just a marketing tool, but rather an essential vehicle that drives individuals to advance their thinking, make meaningful connections, and promote a sustainable system of education.

I was once told that one of the toughest things to do in life is to find a profession that you absolutely love and to be compensated in manner that suggests someone else loves what you do just as much. Teachers teach for the love and passion of educating and inspiring students not for the salary. If that were the case there would not be a scarcity in the profession. The Million Dollar Teaching Project recognizes this immense problem. The Million Dollar Teaching Project is a movement that will lead the way in transforming how we compensate and invest in teachers. In addition to increasing the compensation for teachers the project will help grow the profession. The vision and mission will come to fruition with a revamped online presence. Globalization has been realized through the advancements in technology. An improved and innovative website will provide MDTP a much needed platform to reach teachers across the globe. The new site will offer teachers an opportunity to connect, support, and share with each other.

Teachers help benefit everybody's life and for them to get paid the amount that they do is outrageous. The people who taught athletes or even some of our role models are getting paid less. Teachers are the foundation for people becoming smarter and better. To be paid less than an average worker is really bad. I think that Million Dollar Teacher Project will really help teachers because they actually care about them and not just about making money. Million-dollar teacher project is helpping to improve schools.

Growing up if I didn't have the teachers that I had that gave me the skills and lead me to the direction I am in today in life there is no telling where I would be. That is why when I leaned about the Million Dollar Teacher Project I was all in. The Million Dollar Teacher Project is is needed to retain the great teachers in the classroom that are leading our future leaders.
Having a strong online presence is very essential these days. People can learn of ones passion with just one click and that is why I feel having a website is very essential and that MDTP will benefit greatly from it and allow them to grow and be shared with so many.

I think this organization has a lot of potential to be succesful. Overall, I think their motive and purpose is very Enique and hasn't been done before which is always a great thing in the business world. This project can be an easy way to motivate our teachers into fully enforcing education amongst our youth

There is definitely a need for teacher recognition and retention . However, more importantly is the ability to connect all communities and schools (public, private, and charter) in order to collaborate on the work teachers are doing and how to support them best. Million Dollar Teacher Project was created to optimize the teaching experience and ultimately create more opportunities for teachers. By supporting and valuing teachers, we are benefiting all students in the process. If Million Dollar Teacher Project is provided with a larger web presence they can reach more communities and organizations across the state, and be effective in accomplishing their mission.

What an absolute great mission for both teachers and the community in which they serve. Classroom resources are often reduced or eliminated, and the development of this project gives and shows support. One of the best ways to stay connected with the Million Dollar Teacher Project is through the website. A new website developed with notable innovation, will enhance the projects viewers of the site.

Our teachers should feel like a Million Dollars each and every day. Educators hold the future success of our community in their hands. The Million Dollar Teacher Project gets that and is working to change the perception of the profession and elevate it to the status it deserves. Unfortunately, there are so many distractions competing for possible supporters attention.

We need your assistance to create a strong, visually appealing and accessible website will allow possible partners to explore ways they can help advance our mission. Additionally, a well designed website & social media presence will help communicate the important message that teachers are worth a million dollars.

I ask you to help change perceptions and make teachers feel like a million dollars by supporting the Million Dollar Teacher Project through your work during the Overnight Website Challenge.
